BUILD FROM EXPERIENCE

We Focus On Respect And Discipline

Focus and Discipline

By encouraging and challenging students to be accountable and responsible for their actions, Maple Taekwondo helps students to reach personal levels of focus and self-discipline they can be proud of.

Respect

Fostering Respect for Self and Respect for Others is an essential element of the Taekwondo curriculum. Students are taught in a respectful climate and are supported in respectful relationships between their masters, their fellow classmates and their parents.

Sportsmanship

Maple Taekwondo’s focus on fostering competence in martial arts is balanced with supporting students in developing their emotional intelligence which leads to good sportsmanship. So it follows that students become humble in victory and graceful in defeat.

Improved Health and Fitness

Maple Taekwondo provides fun and safe ways for students to practice cardio, core, and strength training and can help instil a life-long desire and discipline for maintaining healthy living.

Self Defense

While promoting and teaching non-violent strategies for conflict resolution, Maple Taekwondo also teaches simple yet practical self-defence techniques.

Maple Taekwondo offers a variety of classes to accommodate a variety of age and belt levels to ensure that students receive the quality of instruction that is appropriate.

Why Us?

Taekwondo offers a range of experiences for individuals seeking to learn about and engage in the martial arts. While our instruction focuses on the acquisition and development of skills we are also aware that the opportunity to develop personal skills and a sense of belonging are important. Instruction is intentional in fostering individual and collaborative learning through critical thinking, problem-solving and the development of personal management skills. We purposely align our instruction with the tenants of the Ontario Ministry of Education’s goals in that we are committed to encouraging and supporting a balance between the physical, emotional and intellectual well-being of our students.
